The Altecnic SX-Range is an intermediate vessel designed for use in closed-loop heating systems, particularly in renewable energy applications such as solar thermal and air source heat pump (ASHP) systems. This intermediate vessel serves as a buffer between the heat source (e.g., solar collectors or heat pumps) and the expansion vessel. It allows water to cool before entering the expansion vessel, thereby preventing premature ageing of the expansion vessel's diaphragm due to exposure to high temperatures. The SX-Range is suitable for systems using ethylene or propylene glycol mixtures with low gas permeability.
