Pressure reducing valves are installed in residential water systems to reduce and stabilise inlet pressures from mains water supplies or boosted water systems, which generally are too high and variable for domestic appliances to function correctly.
The CORE 15mm and 22mm PRV is WRAS approved and is certified according to BS EN 1567 for operating with inlet water temperatures up to 80˚C. Supplied complete with pressure gauge and compression ends, complying with BS EN 1254-2 for use with R250 (half hard) copper tube. Flanged options also available.
TMV
Thermostatic mixing valves used to maintain the domestic hot water supplied to the user at a constant and safe temperature when variations in the hot and cold water supply conditions and draw-off flow rates occur. The fail-safe design automatically shuts off the mixed water flow to the valve in the event of a disruption in the hot or cold water supply.
The CORE range of failsafe thermostatic mixing valves have been designed for use in healthcare premises, hospitals, care homes, and schools. The valve has been independently tested and approved to Type 2 and Type 3 standards complying with building regulations and British Standards.
TBV
The CORE thermostatic balancing valve (TBV) is a WRAS-approved Anti-Legionella device that will help keep the temperature evenly distributed and reduce ‘dead-legs’. The valve aims to improve the efficiency of DHW systems through automatic regulation and will reduce heat loss through lower circulation of hot water. The valve will automatically respond to changes in system temperature and flow requirements. This valve is typically used for circulating hot water systems above 45°C. For the consumer, this will reduce the time they have to wait for hot water when turning on an outlet (shower, tap etc) regardless of other demands for hot water within the building, hence reducing water wastage; all whilst controlling the growth of bacteria.
